Dr. Yejide S. MackDear Trojan Family,

I continue to be honored and excited to be a member of the North College Hill City Schools family as Principal of North College Hill High School.  I've been given a very warm welcome thus far from staff, parents, students and other members of our school. The sense of community, connection, passion and enthusiasm for the school have been evident throughout my transition into the role.  As I converse  and interact with people in and outside the field of education familiar with this community, it affirmed my research, thoughts and knowledge of both the community and the schools: North College Hill is a community of FAMILY & EXCELLENCE!  I have so far had the pleasure of meeting some outstanding educators in the Trojan family to share experiences, discuss values and learn more about what makes NCH HS special.  I cannot stress enough how privileged I feel to be a part of the NCH family.  I am so looking forward to working with each of you!

I would like to take this opportunity to share with you a little about my educational background and the journey that led me to NCH HS.  Over the past ten years, I have served as an Administrator at three High Schools. One was 100% free and reduced lunch, with an extremely high mobility rate and a constant struggle to meet any of the state indicators.  The others are nationally ranked as high performing schools in the State of Ohio.  While the three schools have different challenges, what is uniquely common is a dedicated staff committed to a culture of collaboration, setting high expectations, building relationships with students and a belief that ALL students can achieve if provided the appropriate support.  All of which are essential to fostering a climate and culture where students can excel.

I'm driven by my desire to see every student win.  My hope is that every student feels confident and connected and ultimately ready to embrace their life beyond these HS walls. To do so, our students must be encouraged to develop resilience, to be courageous when facing adversity and to develop the skills necessary to find their passion, enhance their well-being and their sense of purpose in life.  We need outstanding citizens who have the skills and desire to make a difference...and as Trojans, WE CAN

Finally, and most importantly, I want you to know that I have strong core values that guide my decisions. I will be supportive and receptive to ideas and validate the efforts of all in the community.  I promise to make each staff member, student and parent feel valued and respected.  Communication is vital and I am committed to ensuring that the lines are always open. I'm excited to have joined the NCH family with great expectation for the potential that lies ahead in all areas of the life of the school. I am excited to walk this journey in which we form new relationships and am grateful for the opportunity we have to educate students TOGETHER!

Yours in Education,

Dr. Yejide S. Mack
