After the FAFSA: What Happens Next?

FAFSA FSA ID
FSA ID = Federal Student Aid Identification Number. This is the new "PIN" for the new system. Official site for requesting a FSA ID which is required to electronically sign the FAFSA form. After request, FSA ID will be sent via e-mail within a week. Student and Parent need a separate FSA ID. Parents who already have a PIN from an older sibling or their own financial aid form can link that to the new system requiring a FSA ID.
